Louie welcomes Dr. Curtis Spier, who was working at Parkland Hospital in Dallas when President John F. Kennedy was shot. Spier talks about what he saw on that terrible day in history, and the futile efforts by hospital staff to revive the president. Spier was also witness to Parkland Hospital's efforts to save the life of the president's alleged assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald. Dr. Spier is a 1956 graduate of Texas Western College (now UTEP).
