A brooding masterpiece, Tchaikovsky's dark drama deals with a caddish aristrocat whose indifference towrds others turns full circle, and comes to destroy him. It comes to us in a highly-accomplished production from the 2012 Riga Opera Festival, and Latvian National Opera.
