You tune to KTEP and NPR for holiday stories of all kinds; funny, touching, insightful, and surprising. Join host Lynn Neary as she hosts this brand new hour of holiday stories told some of your favorite NPR commentators.
Monday December 22 at 7pm
A perennial NPR favorite with brand new Hanukkah stories written by acclaimed authors Debra Ginsberg, Anne Burt, Simone Zelitch, Andy Borowitz, and Theodore Bikel. Hear a wide variety of stories perfect for the holiday - one story is funny and crisp, another historical, and there's one with a multicultural theme. Also included is a story about the supernatural and one that ends with the best last line for any Hanukkah show, "Love is the only miracle." Hosted by Susan Stamberg and Murray Horwitz.

Welcome Christmas! is an hour of joyful holiday music featuring one of the world's premiere choral groups, VocalEssence, led by Philip Brunelle.

A Jazz Piano Christmas
NPR Music brings you another great concert from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Pianists Cyrus Chestnut, Kris Davis, Lynne Arriale and The "Master" Harold Mabern take the stage to perform their favorite holiday songs. Hosted by Felix Contreras.

Candles Burning Brightly
Join hosts Mindy Ratner and Bill Morelock for a one-hour celebration of Chanukah, the Jewish Festival of Lights. There's plenty of music from Jewish communities around the world, plus an exploration of holiday traditions, and a special story reading by the incomparable Theodore Bikel.

St. Olaf Christmas Festival
A service in song and word that has become one of the nation’s most cherished holiday celebrations. The festival includes hymns, carols, choral works, and orchestral selections celebrating the Nativity and featuring more than 500 student musicians who are members of five choirs and the St. Olaf Orchestra.

A Festival Of Nine Lessons And Carols
Hosted by Michael Barone, KTEP is proud to bring you 2014's music and spoken-word broadcast from the chapel of King's College in Cambridge, England. The 30-voice King's College Choir performs the legendary Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service of Biblical readings and music.

Messiah with the PSO
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra celebrates the season with a performance of Handel's Messiah. Betsy Burleigh conducts the orchestra, soloists and Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh at Heinz Hall.

The Earth Is Our Home For The Holidays And Always
"Living on Earth's" annual holiday show is back! The program features and stories from three performers about living on Earth, sharing the planet and universal themes of the season. The roster includes storyteller Jay O'Callahan, singer Denny Breau, and green hip-hop artist Tem Blessed. They sing, rap, and talk the need for love, good food, kindness toward all creatures and the value of imagination.

Toast of the Nation 2014/2015
The New Year's tradition continues with jazz you can party to all night long. Toast of the Nation 2014/2015 travels to the Newport Jazz Festival, Winter Jazzfest, New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles to bring you festive jazz sets with countdowns in three time zones. It's sure to be a nonstop celebration of musical fireworks that will keep you dancing and swinging all night long.
