STATE OF THE ARTS: The Chamanas

The Chamanas are catching flight. The borderland quintet, which calls itself "a metaphorical bridge between the two cities," has made big leaps toward making a name for itself.

The Chamanas released their debut album "Once Once" (Spanish for "eleven eleven" or "11:11") in September and here to talk about it are bassist Manuel Calderon, vocalist Amalia Mondragón, guitarist Hector Carreon and Drummer Alejandro Bustillos.
