PERSPECTIVES: Dorothy & Otis

KTEP's Book Club continues with DOROTHY AND OTIS: DESIGNING THE AMERICAN DREAM. From the 1920's to the `40s, Otis and Dorothy Shepard crafted and embodied the aspirations of the American dream through their design work for baseball (The Chicago Cubs and The All-American Girls Professional Baseball League), chewing gum (Wrigley’s and the Doublemint Twins), resorts and hotels (Catalina Island, The Biltmore), and the world’s largest neon sign. Co-author Norman Hathaway joins host Louie Saenz to talk about this pioneering couple.

Aired Jan. 17 & 18, 2015.
