ON FILM: Oscar History

Charles welcomes back NMSU graduate student and cinephile, Jack Fields.  Fields talks about the 85-year history of the Academy Awards, including some of the stories behind the award show's nickname, "The Oscars."  Hear how the first Academy Awards presentation was held as a private party, and later broadcast on the radio.  Jack & Charles also talk about some of the award-winning films and actors who didn't stand the test of time.  Aired Feb. 23, 2013.
