EL PASO PRIME TIME: National Alliance on Mental Illness

Dennis talks with Erin Pavolko from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) El Paso.  Pavolko talks about efforts to remove the stigma from mental illness and instead treat its sufferers with sympathy and support.  NAMI El Paso is a nonprofit grassroots organization that educates family members and those who suffer from mental illness.  Free support groups are available Mondays from 7-9 p.m., at the University Behavioral Health Center, 1900 Denver Ave.  NAMI offices are located at 4615 Alameda.  For more information about their programs, call 915-534-5478, 915-534-5476, or visit www.nami.org/sites/namielpasoAired Dec. 8, 2012.
