EL PASO PRIME TIME: City Charter Amendments, part 2

Guest host Richard Dayoub, CEO of the Greater El Paso Chamber of Commerce, welcomes back former Mayor Joe Wardy to talk about the charter amendments which will be on the ballot on November 3rd.  The proposed amendments discussed on this program cover deleting the requirement that Council votes be done by roll call…the proposal that appointment of the City Attorney shall be made by City Council…the proposal that certain council actions be approved by resolution rather than ordinances, as stated by state law…the proposal that the start of the fiscal year for the City be changed from September 1 to October 1…and the proposal that the City adopt its budget in line with state law.

Part 2 of a 2-part interview.
