Joe R. Torres

Joe R. Torres is KTEP’s Director of Development and Public Relations Director. A veteran of 50 years in broadcasting, Joe worked in operations and production at 2 El Paso television stations, KELP-TV (now KVIA) and KDBC-TV. He also served as the sales and marketing manager for several El Paso area radio stations including KVIV, KAMA, KBNA-AM-FM, and KELP. In addition to his duties raising funds for El Paso’s only community public radio station through underwriting grants and major gift donations, Joe teaches a course in Business and Professional Communication at UTEP.
